Creating new habits
Drawing has always been a valuable tool in my career, but for years I rarely drew just for myself. That changed during lockdown, when I picked up a 4-color Bic ballpoint pen and began experimenting. Through a lot of play, I discovered a way to blend the inks into full-color images. Since then, I’ve made drawing a daily habit, trying my best to get in at least 30 minutes a day whenever I can. Macklemore music video
As the owner of my creative production company, I partnered with Macklemore on multiple projects. For this video, I served as visual supervisor, overseeing the creative process and directly executing the visual effects that brought the concept to life.
Huggies
On this project I wore two hats — running my production company and also jumping in as the key artist. It was one of those times where I got to lead the big picture while still getting my hands dirty in the creative work, which made the project especially rewarding. The campaign went on to win several creative awards, which made the experience even more special.
Children’s Hospital for Adult Swim
This started as a straightforward shoot, but after we wrapped the showrunner had a new idea: what if the entire cast wore clown makeup like the main character? A reshoot wasn’t possible, so instead of scrapping the idea I illustrated the face paint by hand, shot by shot. It was one of those last-minute pivots where problem-solving and creativity came together to make the impossible work.
Meta’s Creative Shop Reels
Once a quarter, my team partnered with a production company to reinvent how our organization showcased its work. The goal wasn’t just to highlight projects from the past few months, but to make the reel itself a creative collaboration. In this edition, we worked with a studio specializing in hand drawing and character design, creating a reel that felt less like a recap and more like an original piece of art celebrating the team’s creativity.
